Abstract
The influence of the detachment of electrons from negative ions on the simultaneous stationary measurement of the coefficients of ionisation α and attachment η is discussed by calculating log i versus d curves. Comparison of values of (α—η) obtained by the pulse-method with stationary measurements shows the expected tendency as caused by the detachment process.
