Occurrence of a Common Group Antigen Among Candida Albicans, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae and Hansenula Anomala

Abstract
By means of cross-agglutination and ag-glutinin-absorption reactions, a group antigen common to C. albicans, S. cerevisiae and H. anomala was demonstrated. Immune antiserums for Candida and Saccharomyces contained predominatly effective species agglutinins; antiserums for H. anomala contained predominantly effective group ag-glutinins. The previous work of Almon and Stovall was confirmed.
