The Medical Geography of North Vietnam

Abstract
A survey of the medical geography of North Vietnam in relation to natural and social factors, based on French, Vietnamese, and Soviet research. Trachoma and malaria are reported to have been greatly reduced, and measures have been initiated to fight filaria infestations (wuchereriasis and brugiasis). Schistosomiasis and leishmaniasis are found to be absent, although they occur in neighboring countries.
