Abstract
Two versions of the kappa statistic, which corrects the observed proportion of agreement for the proportion of agreement to be expected by chance alone, are presented for measuring intra- and inter-examiner reliability on categorical scales. They are applied to data collected during three separate training and standardization sessions for a caries field trial. The data are also analyzed with respect to the caries reversal phenomenon. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
