Abstract
The intimate relationship between the approach to Bjorken scaling, the choice of scaling variable, and the connection between the threshold behavior of deep-inelastic electroproduction and the asymptotic behavior of the elastic form factors is explored. We show that, contrary to a superficial reading of the data, recent results appear consistent with such a relationship for both the proton and the deuteron. Keywords
