Abstract
Conidiospore preparations of Streptomyces strains B1 and B3 showed lytic activity against viable Candida albicans cultures on agar plates and heat-killed C. albicans cell and cell-wall preparations. Sporulation of the Streptomyces under highly aerobic conditions is necessary for lytic activity, since no lytic agents were detected in filtrates of submerged cultures. Dialysis of the lytic substance indicates a compond of high molecular weight, possibly an enzyuie. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
