Abstract
Extract Matrimonial selection is not fortuitous; it generally obeys the principle expressed in the proverb ‘Birds of a feather flock together’. Community of race, nationality, religion, etc., and also, according to Galton, affinity of physical and intellectual characteristics, such as hair and eye colour, artistic aptitude, etc., have an influence on mating choice, as people endowed with similar characteristics feel more attracted to one another. Keywords
