Abstract
The mint family, alias Labiatae, alias Lamiaceae, is important to the herb trade today because many mint species are found in herbal teas and condiments. Yet all of them contain greater or lesser amounts of toxic substances. Taxonomically the mint species are not so well known as a glance at the popular texts would have you believe.Keywords
