Abstract
A fragment of an X-chromosome became attached to a 4th chromosome. If the fragment becomes eliminated during morphogenesis, the deficient and non-deficient cells produce somatic tissue exhibiting mo-saicism. Linkage tests and cytological studies enable comparison between physical size of fragment and genetic map. Mosaicism in this strain of flies is due to an unstable translocation. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
