Abstract
Summary: The morphology of the type species of the ostracod genera Entomoconchus McCoy (Carboniferous) and Cyprosina Jones (Devonian) is discussed and reinterpreted. Their characters are compared with those of recent and fossil Myodocopa. The family Entomoconchidae Brady is retained within the Myodocopa but referred to a new superfamily. The family Cyprosonidae Whidborne is also retained in the Myodocopa, and tentatively assigned to the same superfamily. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
