Abstract
The probabilistic risk assessment (PRA) methodology provides a means to systematically examine the potential for accidents that may result in a release of hazardous materials. A PRA of a typical fusion reactor fuel processing system has been performed.1 This paper specifically evaluates the effectiveness of tritium accident mitigation systems. The results of the evaluation are presented in a probability-consequence curve which describes the probability of various accident release magnitudes. Keywords
