Abstract
From a microscopic analysis of the paramagnetic resonance line, the exchange- and motional-narrowing phenomena are shown to be basically distinct. Exchange-narrowed lines are essentially made up of the Fourier transform of the cross-correlation functions; motional-narrowed lines are only formed by the Fourier transform of the self-correlation function. Keywords
