A synopsis of the Micropezidae (Diptera) of Canada and Alaska, with descriptions of four new species

Abstract

Keys and illustrations are presented for the identification of the adults of the three subfamilies, five genera, and 16 species of Micropezidae known to occur in Canada and Alaska. Four new species are described: Cnodacophora immaculata, C. subarctica, Compsobata columbiana, and Micropeza chillcotti. Distribution maps are provided for each species.
