Abstract
Repellency tests of 112 compounds against Ctenocephalides cants and C. felis were made by impregnating cloth strips with the compounds in suitable volatile solvents using 8 grams of the compound per sq. ft. of cloth. Six compounds gave 100% repellency and 20 others above 90%. This is comparable to <75% repellency for the 6-2-2 mixture (Dimethyl phthalate 60%, Rutgers 612 20%, and Indalone 20%) issued to the armed forces. The toxic and irritating properties to man have not been determined. Keywords
