Abstract
The purposes of this paper are (1) to contribute to an understanding of the crucial role of unconscious guilt in the pathogenesis of anorexia nervosa and (2) to contribute to an appreciation of the importance of the concept of survivor guilt by demonstrating its usefulness in describing and explaining aspects of the pathogenesis, psychopathology and psychotherapy of anorexia.Keywords
