Abstract
This statistical computing software review is a continuation of one that appeared in the August 2002 issue of The American Statistician. Three statistical software packages that are devoted completely or partly to analyzing categorical data using exact methods were evaluated in that review. This review evaluates the Windows versions of two additional statistical software packages used for these purposes: Testimate and SAS. The software is examined according to the same criteria that were used in the prior review. Recommendations regarding the software are provided. This review concludes with a comparison of all five statistical software packages (StatXact, LogXact, Stata, Testimate, and SAS).Keywords
