Abstract

Swarm formation and copulation in the swarms of Anopheles stephensi mysorensis Sweet and Rao are described. A few females were captured during copulation. They were found to be unfed but some had completed 1 or 2 gonotrophic cycles. Female-male ratio in the swarm was 3:5, in indoor catches 2.3:1, and in pit shelter 1:1.
