Abstract
The We-All-Know syndrome is quite common in clinical medicine, especially in the area of diet therapy. We All Know that ulcers will be soothed and healed by the calming effects of a bland diet. We All Know that the tender pockets of diverticular disease of the colon must never be challenged by rough abrasive fibers of lettuce and self-impacting raspberry seeds. We All Know that the unfortunate with heartburn should be strictly forbidden to sip on coffee that contains the noxious drug, caffeine, a potent acid stimulator and sphincter weakener. The We-All-Know syndrome is often dispelled by objective investigation.
