Abstract
Whipple''s disease (lipodystrophia intestinalis) is characterized by the accumulation of phagocytosed glycoprotein in the mucosa of the intestine. The glycoprotein is likewise demonstrable in the mesenteric lymph nodes Its source is unknown; however, some of its similarities to mucin are pointed out. Keywords
