Abstract
Dust of 105 spp. of plants, mostly legumes, collected in New York, Mexico or Central America, was tested on the larvae of the Mexican bean beetle. Amorpha fruticosa, Tephrosia talpa, T. toxicaria and T. virginiana all were moderately toxic. T. vogelii was markedly toxic. Lonchocarpus utilis yielded slightly higher mortalities than L. urucu. Clibadium suri-namense and Pithecellobium trapezifolium, though highly toxic to silkworm larvae, were ineffective against larvae of the bean beetle. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
