While mastery of certain skills and knowledges is necessary (or professional nursing practice, appropriate feelings are also essential. The author presents the need for such emotions within an explanation for humanistic education, Kohlberg's moral development theory. She also explains a case study method that helps in achieving moral, emotional development.
