THE EXTRACTION OF THE LARVAL PERITROPHIC SAC BY THE ADULTS IN BELONOGASTER (HYMENOPTERA VESPOIDEA)

Abstract
The mature larvae of Belonogaster are not able to push the peritrophic sac out completely by themselves. The sac is extracted through an opening in the bottom of the cell, and taken away from the nest, by an adult wasp.
