Abstract
The "almost forbidden" reflexions (301) and (303) in zinc have been measured at 300 K using MoK α radiation. Careful check for the absence of multiple Bragg events was made. The results are discussed in terms of the anharmonic atomic vibrations using the effective one-particle potential formalism. A significant value for α33 = - (1.5 ± 0.3) × 10-12 erg Å-3 was determined for the force constant of the cubic term of the potential. Keywords
