Abstract
The profile and integrated intensity of the calcium 422.67 nm resonance line from a commercially available demountable hollow cathode lamp have been examined using several filler gases at pressures between 1 and 7 Torr and operating currents in the range of 6 to 30 mA. The results are interpreted in terms of the reduced Doppler and self-absorption broadening obtained in this source compared to these effects in a commercially available, sealed, neon-filled hollow cathode lamp source. Keywords
