Abstract
FT-IR/ATR spectra were obtained on films deposited on a 45° Ge ATR crystal by Langmuir-Blodgett techniques. Two thicknesses (33 Å and 59 Å) were investigated. The ATR spectra showed that the albumin molecules attached directly to the germanium surface were more ordered than and different from the albumin molecules adsorbed on other albumin molecules. These ordered albumin films rearranged with time to more closely resemble conventional albumin films. Keywords
