Abstract
In a family epidemic of tuberculosis, 22 members were infected; four of these developed active disease. With the greater proportion of the population, par ticularly children and young adults, tuberculin negative and thus at risk when exposed, such small outbreaks are an ever-present threat. Pediatricians play a vital role in tuberculosis case finding by continued skin testing. Keywords
