Abstract
This paper describes the development and testing of a quit-smoking programme employing the "clean-break" method and nicotine substitution. The first long-term results after 12 months show nicotine abstinence in 44.2% of all the participants, and thus confirm the therapeutic approach to quitting smoking. Keywords
