Abstract
Es wird ein Versuch zur Lokalisation der Generatoren der AEP-Wellen II und III unternommen. Bei Patienten mit Fazialismyokymie kommt es häufig zu Veränderungen der Welle II. Daraus wird geschlossen, dass der Generator der Welle II intrapontin liegen muß und nicht dem extrapontinen N. akustikus zugerechnet werden kann. Bei Patienten mit Brissaud-Phänomen vom Typ der Dauerkontraktion werden häufig Veränderungen der Welle III beobachtet. Die Kombination mit Abduzensparese und mit Ausfall des kontralateralen Stapediusreflexes läßt auf einen Generator im oberen Olivenkomplex oder im Corpus trapezoideum schließen. The sources of the AEP waves II and HI have to be located within the caudal part of the pons. In facial myokymia, involvement of wave II is frequently observed; this is held to be incompatible with the suggested generation from the extrapontine acoustic nerve. A frequent finding in Brisssaud's phenomenon is a late or abolished homolateral wave III. Additional signs, such as 6th cranial nerve palsy and impairment of the crossed acoustic reflex, point to the superior olivary complex or the trapezoid body as the probable generating structures of wave III.
