Abstract
Switching impulse tests were performed on single-column station post insulators having heights from 5 to 20 feet mounted atop grounded support structures having heights from 8 to 20 feet. Wavefronts of 120- and 1000-μs were used. Results can be used to obtain preliminary estimates of requirements for EHV and UHV stations. Keywords
