Abstract
The immature stages of pink bollworm (Pectinophora gossypiella (Saunders)) were studied in the greenhouse and field to determine the duration of the developmental period and larval survival in relation to the age of the cotton square or boll when infested. The rate of development was faster in the more mature fruiting forms, and was faster in squares than in bolls. A higher survival was obtained in bolls that were infested when less than 20 days of age than in those infested at an older age. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
