Abstract
The properties of a new type of polyamphoteric activated carbon fiber (ACF) were investigated theoretically and experimentally. Results are compared with those from granular activated carbon (GAC) and ion-exchange resin (IER) materials. The adsorption rate of ACF was found to be two orders of magnitude higher than that of the GAC and one order of magnitude higher than that of the IER.Keywords
