Abstract
Today, many have the impression that the use of Rh immune globulin has eliminated the problem of erythroblastosis fetalis — that it is a danger we no longer need concern ourselves with. The facts are otherwise. Although Rh prophylaxis has been extremely effective in reducing the number of babies we see with this condition, some cases still occur. And when they do, it's a serious matter. In fact, this is an area of medicine in which our ability to prevent disease has run ahead of our ability to treat it.Now, treatment has taken a giant stride toward catching up. . . .Keywords
