Electrical Properties of Eu1+xBa2-xCu3Oy at High Temperatures

Abstract
Oxygen partial pressure, P O2 , and temperature dependences of the resistances, R, of Eu1+x Ba2-x Cu3O y compounds were measured to obtain knowledge about the effect of substitution of the trivalent Eu ions for the divalent Ba ions. The resistances of the samples depended on P O2 according to RP O2 -1/n . The exponents were caused to vary due to the substitution, which affected the relation between oxygen pressure and oxygen solubility in Eu1+x Ba2-x Cu3O y compounds.
