A Follow-Up Report of Spinal Cord Injuries in a Group Of World War II Patients

Abstract
Information was obtained by letter and questionnaire from 55 patients, 2.5-3.5 yrs. after injury. Residual neurologic defect with no recent improvement existed in 20 cases; 19 patients reported partial recovery; and 16 had no disability. Of 19 men who had been complete paraplegics, 4 had recovered partially (to mono- or paraparesis).
