Abstract
The development of fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry1 (FAB MS) and high field and high resolution magnetic sector mass spectrometry2 have disclosed new dimensions in the analysis and sequencing of polar nonvolatile compounds of vital biological importance such as oligonucleotides3, peptides,4 and glycoconjugates5 with molecular weights up to 8000 daltons. Keywords
