THE EFFECTS OF CHOLINE AND ITS ANALOGUES ON THE OUTPUT OF ACETYLCHOLINE FROM THE ISOLATED ILEUM OF THE GUINEA PIG

Abstract
A11 the test compounds contracted the isolated ileum. The contractions are caused by direct action on acetylcholine receptors and acceleration of acetylcholine liberatiom from the cholinergic nerve ending. The mechanism may be the same as in activation by 5-hydroxytryptamine or picric acid.
