Abstract
The behaviour of an Ising antiferromagnet which is known to undergo a continuous transition in two dimensions and a first order transition, in three is considered in a slab geometry of finite thickness. The authors note that the phase behaviour is intimately related to the surface boundary conditions which govern wetting. For the interesting case in which wetting phenomena are not important, they find that the bulk behaviour is already manifest when the slab is only eleven layers thick. Keywords
