Abstract
Various concentrations of salicylhydroxamic acid and alpha, alpha-dipyridyl (reported inhibitors of cyanide-insensitive respiration) applied to fruit of ‘Bose’ pear (Pyrus communis L.) reduced fruit softening. The application of silver ions, reported to inhibit ethylene action, delayed ripening. Keywords
