Abstract

Rats receiving the hormone were examined by vaginal smear and laparot-omy (technic given). To produce uterine reaction of estrus 4.8 [gamma] ketohydroxyestrin was required,[long dash]5-6 times the vaginal unit. The max. positivity of uterine estrus reaction was reached 44-50 hrs. after the 1st inj., about 24 hrs. sooner than the vaginal smear appearance of non-nucleated corni-fied cells. When the vaginal reaction reached its max. in the 72d hr., the uterine reaction had ceased.
