Abstract
The principal intestinal muscles of Priapulus caudatus consist of an outer circular layer beneath the lining of the body cavity, and an inner longitudinal layer. In regions in which the circular muscle bundles are widely spaced, longitudinal muscles occur beneath the body cavity lining. A reticulum of small circular, diagonal and longitudinal muscles lies between the intestinal epithelium and the longitudinal muscle layer. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
