Abstract
Rhabdomyosarcoma of the urinary bladder in four dogs is described. The tumours were large fungating masses that protruded from the wall into the lumen of the bladder. There was local invasion of the bladder, but metastases were not found at necropsy. One dog was 1 year old when first seen, one was 14 months, and two were 18 months old. Three of the four dogs were St. Bernards. Three other published cases of rhabdomyosarcoma of the canine urinary bladder are reviewed, and features of this tumour are compared with those of botryoid sarcoma in man. Keywords
