Self‐Administered Blood Donor Medical History

Abstract
An experiment in self-administered blood donor medical histories is described. This history, reviewed by a medical history nurse, was not associated with more rapid donor processing. Donors and medical history nurses reacted positively to self-administration. The quality of the medical history did not appear to be affected by the procedure. There probably is value in the self-administration process. Further trial is warranted.
