Abstract
The interaction of mesons on protons was studied in an exposure of the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) 80-in. hydrogen bubble chamber at the alternating gradient synchrotron (AGS). Results are presented concerning a search for resonances requiring higher representations than 8 or 10, namely, an isotopic-spin-1 () or boson, and an isotopic-spin-0 or -1 () baryon. Evidence is also given for the existence of the resonance, as well as a new () resonance with mass 1260±20 MeV and width 70 MeV.
