Abstract
Long-chain normal aliphatic alcohols are found to suppress photocorrosion and increase the efficiency of a cuprous oxide photoelectrochemical cell with aqueous thiocyanate solution as the electrolyte. It is suggested that alcohols inhibit corrosion by surface adsorption.Keywords
