Abstract
Jump conditions across a flame-sheet and an associated flame temperature relation arc derived for generalized transport mechanisms of heat and species. Special cases with increasing degrees of simplification are then discussed for both diffusion and premixed flames, with emphasis on the effect of the Lewis number on flame temperature variations. Itis demonstrated tha t adiabatic flame temperature exists only under highly restrictive situations.Keywords
