Abstract
In glaucoma the serum shows significantly lowered cholinesterase activity, which is absent from the aqueous in both normal and glaucomatous eyes. Acetycholine deficiency in the aqueous in glaucoma is not traceable to increased cholinesterase activity. Lessened para-sympathetic activity may be inferred in glaucoma but changes in vegetative equilibrium of the eye may not.
