Abstract
The inj. of normal human blood serum, taken during various stages of the menstrual cycle, into immature [female] white rats produces no inhibition or activation of the growth of the ovaries. Under similar conditions, aq. extracts of human ant. pituitary powder exert a marked gonadotrophic effect. When both are administered, the stimulation of growth is almost as great as with the gland alone; hence, normal serum has no apparent inhibitory effect on ant. pituitary extract. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
