Abstract
1. It has been observed that the larvae of four species of chironomid midges invade and destroy the contents of the egg masses of Bulinus (Physopsis) globosus in Amani lake, Tanganyika.2. There was no indication that this type of predation exercised any restraint on the density of adult snails. Keywords
