Abstract
Based on tests and nonlinear finite element analyses, a unified plastic analysis for infilled frames with three types of interface conditions is proposed, in which the stress redistribution towards collapse and the conditions at the infill‐frame interface are taken into account. The theory is applicable to single and multistory infilled frames, and comparison with experimental results gives good agreement. Design recommendations for multistory infilled frames are given. Keywords
