Abstract
We discuss a planar pursuit situation encompassing a (non-manoeuvering) point target E that holds a fixed course and it has a constant speed. The problem is analyzed of steering two points in the plane, P1 and P2, to simultaneously (that is, isochronously) meet E in minimum time. P1,2 have limited manoeuverability, that is, they are (identical) 'cars' a' la Isaacs with constant speed and minimum turning radii R. We also stipulate the headings of P1 and P2 at the instant, of capture, thereby controlling the pincer movement towards the target. In the paper we outline a solution for this guidance problem. Keywords
